No way to record that an item was discarded. Valuable for personal waste pattern awareness and opt-in Magpie data.

Implementation: Add discarded status to inventory item status enum. disposal_reason optional free-text field. Calm framing: 'items not used before expiry' not 'wasted'. Paid: LLM waste-reduction suggestions.

Tier: Free for logging; Paid for pattern analysis.
