Context

The scheduler backend is V1-complete (see Codex Documentation/Completed Plans/V1_REQUIREMENTS_TRACEABILITY_MATRIX.md). The Flutter shell already has real, tested widgets (BacklogPane, top-bar date controls, compact/normal timeline state) but the navigation that reaches them is stubbed. This epic tracks wiring the app shell so those existing widgets are actually reachable.

Scope

#9 Wire sidebar Backlog navigation into app shell — closed, implemented
#10 Wire top-bar date navigation controls (prev/next/date picker) — closed, already fully wired on inspection
#11 Wire Compact/Normal timeline toggle — rescoped, bigger than originally estimated (see issue)

Out of scope

Visual/design polish beyond making these controls functional. Settings screen is tracked separately in #8.

Acceptance criteria

All linked sub-issues closed; sidebar Backlog nav and compact/normal toggle are functional in the running app, not no-ops.
