Ideogram 4 is a 9.3B text-to-image model with exceptional typography rendering, per-object bounding box layout control, color palette guidance, and multi-resolution output (256-2048px). The NF4 (4-bit quantized) variant runs on CUDA GPUs with ~5-6GB VRAM.

Why we can't use it yet

License is Ideogram 4 Non-Commercial — gated on HuggingFace, prohibits commercial use. CF's paid tiers make any integration commercial use by definition.

If the capability is ever needed

Use the Ideogram commercial API (api.ideogram.ai) — pay-per-image, no local weight concerns. Relevant for:

Product mockup / marketing image generation
Hardware render asset pipeline (website, cf-video)
Any future design tooling product
